A dental implant is a prosthesis that interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge, denture, or facial prosthesis or to act as an orthodontic anchor. The basis for modern dental implants is a biological process called osseointegration, in which materials such as titanium or zirconia form an intimate bond to the bone. The implant fixture is first placed so that it is likely to osseointegrate, then a dental prosthetic is added. A variable amount of healing time is required for osseointegration before either the dental prosthetic (a tooth, bridge, or denture) is attached to the implant or an abutment is placed which will hold a dental prosthetic/crown. We use the latest technology and follow the most advanced evidence based dental procedures to ensure optimum success in treatments we do.

Frequently Asked Questions
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of titanium that are surgically placed into the jawbone to support replacement teeth, such as crowns, bridges, or dentures.
Most patients with good general health and sufficient jawbone density are candidates for dental implants. A consultation with a periodontist will help determine if you are eligible.
With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last a lifetime. Regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene are essential for their longevity.
The procedure is performed under local aenesthesia, ensuring minimal discomfort. Post-surgical pain is usually manageable with prescribed medications and proper aftercare.
Healing typically takes a few months, as the implant integrates with the jawbone in a process called osseointegration. The final prosthesis is placed once healing is complete.
